Dr. Vanessa Kieu, Clinical Division Program Manager, completed her training at Las Encinas Hospital where she provided treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with various psychiatric diagnoses and chemical dependency in a large, urban inpatient and outpatient facility. Currently, as a program manager for the clinical division, Dr. Kieu performs administrative functions related to the care of over 700 patients on a weekly basis. In addition, utilizing her bilingual skill as a Vietnamese-English speaking clinician, she continues to enjoy providing direct treatment for individuals and families who have been victims of crime.

Dr. Yvonne Miller, Director of Training and Clinical Supervision, graduated in 1998 from the California School of Professional Psychology. She has worked for 15 years with underserved populations, and her interests and experience include psychotherapy with clients of all ages regarding child abuse, trauma, parenting, couples issues, and divorce. In addition to providing psychotherapy, she performs consultation, supervision, training, psychological testing, and forensic evaluations.

John Perdomo attended the University Autonomo de Guadalajara, Mexico and Instituto Technologico de Studios Superiores de Occidente and graduated with a degree in Psychology. For several years he worked as a licensed psychologist at John F. Kennedy Elementary School and also at a private practice doing family therapy. He then immigrated to Los Angeles, where he has worked at Augustus F. Hawkins Children's Services with severely emotionally disturbed children and Ingleside and Martin Luther King Hospitals with adult inpatient psychiatric patients. In addition, he is a candidate for his Doctorate in Psychology from Ryokan College and collecting supervised hours at Paladin Eastside toward his California license in psychology.

Maribel Rojas attended Cal State Los Angeles and earned a B.A. in Psychology, then her M.A. in Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy option. Since July 2005 she has worked at Paladin Eastside collecting supervised therapy hours to become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Dr. Bernie Schwartz, a dynamic clinical supervisor in the Santa Ana office, received his M.A. at UCLA and his Ph.D. from American Commonwealth University. He is a Professor of Psychology at Chapman University College and has written numerous books, book chapters, and journal articles about psychology topics, including How to Fail as a Therapist, Thoughts for Therapists, and Behavioral group therapy with clients with homogenous problems.

Dr. Rogelio Whyte, a bilingual psychiatrist, joined Paladin in October 2010. Trained as a traditional psychiatrist at the University of Southern California Medical Center, Dr. Whyte has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults. As a result of his services to the community, mental health clinics and hospitals, he has gained a tremendous knowledge working with children in the foster care system.
